Manchester United Fans Have A Theory That Patrice Evra Could Be Returning To The Club

Manchester United Fans Have A Theory That Patrice Evra Could Be Returning To The Club

Some Manchester United fans think club legend Patrice Evra could be returning to the club in a different role.

The theory comes after the Frenchman has been spotted watching United games sat next to chief executive Ed Woodward in the stands for the past few weeks.

Evra, who won five Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy in eight years United, has been without a club after leaving West Ham when his short-term contract with the East London club expired at the end of 2017/18.

Given he's 37 now, the former Marseille left-back looks unlikely to continue his playing career but plenty of United fans think he could be set for a new position at Old Trafford.

United have been rumoured to be looking at bringing a Director of football, with former goalkeeper Edwin van Der Sar one of the names said to be in the mix.

But if United are making the decision based on Instagram content and catchphrases, then big Pat will get the job hands down...
