Harry Maguire's superb individual highlights for England against Iceland showed he could play left wing with his heatmap painting a fascinating picture.

Maguire started at the back alongside Kyle Walker and Eric Dier for England's Nations League match on Wednesday.

But the Manchester United star found himself driving out of the back, marauding down the left hand side and showing off his range of passing.

We can see this in his heatmap below which confirmed the joy the defender had on the wing.

England fans on social media were impressed by the performance of Maguire, whose individual highlights make for impressive viewing.

The video shows the 27-year-old spraying the ball and nearly creating a goal for Phil Foden not to mention his buccaneering attacks from the left.

About his outing, one Twitter user wrote: "Oh man he has a good lob passing ability. Why we do not use his ability properly."

A second tweeted: "0:35 I thought it was Martial dribbling on the left. He must have picked up a thing or two."

While a third posed another position for him: "Should United play him as a DM?"
