Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay were reportedly left 'furious' after Manchester United refused to allow them to engage with protestors outside The Lowry Hotel.
Players at the team hotel pleaded with club officials to allow them outside to speak to fans protesting on Sunday.

It is believed that club captain Maguire, Fernandes, Matic and McTominay wanted to communicate with the angry protestors and tried to convince staff to allow it to happen ahead of the scheduled kick-off.
However, the club said no and the four senior squad members were left 'absolutely furious', according to James Cooper.
Despite the police dispersing the crowd away from The Lowry Hotel and Old Trafford, the Premier League clash was postponed.

"The security and safety of everyone at Old Trafford remains of paramount importance," added the Premier League.
"We understand and respect the strength of feeling but condemn all acts of violence, criminal damage and trespass, especially given the associated Covid-19 breaches.
"We sympathise with the police and stewards who had to deal with a dangerous situation that should have no place in football."
United vs. Liverpool will be rescheduled.
