Luis Figo Denies He And Pep Guardiola Had A Romantic Relationship
Luis Figo has rubbished the so-called 'urban myth' that he and Pep Guardiola had a romantic relationship.
The pair were teammates and good friends during their time playing together at Barcelona but while they were close, the 2000 Ballon d'Or winner categorically denies it was anything more than that.
"Guardiola was a great friend," Figo told ICON, as per AS.
"He helped me a lot. He was my roommate, but there was nothing. I like women."

We're still yet to see a current, top-level footballer come out as gay, with the stigma and pressures that come with it incredibly difficult to deal with.
"Football is very cruel," Figo added when asked why no La Liga players have come out as gay.

"You play every Sunday and you'd be criticised for that and not your performance. It will be for protection [that nobody has come out], not because of shame."
Figo is married to Helen Svedin, with whom he has three daughters with.
His Real Madrid teammate Ronaldo had a huge crush on the Portuguese star's wife of 18 years, once told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that "If I had the wife that Figo does, I would always stay at home."
Real Madrid legend Luis Figo has forgiven his fellow Ronaldo for a comment he once said If I had the wife that Figo does, I would always stay at home' about his wife, Helene Svedin to Real president Perez. Years later and Figo laughed off the comments and confirmed he is still friends with the Brazilian legend.
"I had already known about [the comment], because he had said it in the dressing room,' he told El Hormiguero as he sat alongside model Svedin in the studio.
"But I forgive Roni because he always joking.
"What he doesn't know is that I would leave the house when my wife would fall asleep!"
