Spanish broadcasters captured Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez insulting the referee when he went to VAR in Sunday's El Clasico.

Reigning champions Barcelona destroyed Los Blancos 5-1 in a result that ultimately ended Julen Lopetegui's four-and-a-half month stint in charge of the club.

But there was controversy for the second goal. Luis Suarez scored the first of his hat-trick from the penalty spot but only after referee Sanchez Martinez went to VAR with the assistance of official Hernandez Hernandez and deemed Raphael Varane to have fouled the Uruguayan.

It took a few moments for the man in the middle to use the technology but as he did, he was met with Vasquez trying to get inside his head on the bench.

As per MARCA, he could be heard shouting "¡Te estás cagando, eh! in English." - which translates to "You're shi**ing it!"in English.

Proper Sunday League stuff from Vasquez, though his choice words didn't affect the official as he awarded the spot-kick, which was then converted in emphatic fashion by Suarez.

Another moment that TV cameras picked up was Gerard Pique's reaction to the home fans abusing Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos.

In the devastating defeat at the Camp Nou, Barca fans were giving Ramos a whole lot of grief, with "Sergio Ramos son of a b*tch" the chant sung by a section of cules.

However, footage captured Gerard Pique asking them to stop the song by wagging his fingers.

The two haven't always seen eye-to-eye but fair play to Pique for his sign of respect towards his former defensive partner.
