Louis Van Gaal Reveals Who He Will Blame If He Is Fired

Louis Van Gaal Reveals Who He Will Blame If He Is Fired

We doubt many people will agree

He may have implemented a stifling, painful to watch 'philosophy' on his Manchester United team over the past two seasons, made some questionable purchases and played players out of position constantly, but Louis Van Gaal is ready to point the finger at a Manchester United legend should he be given the boot at the end of the season.

United must beat Bournemouth at Old Trafford today and pray that Swansea do them a huge favour by beating Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium in order to secure fourth place and qualify for next season's Champions League. That, coupled with a victory in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace next Saturday would very possibly secure Van Gaal employment for another season.

However, anything less than that and it's likely the Dutchman will be given the boot after two expensive, underwhelming seasons in charge at Old Trafford.

And Van Gaal is ready to blame Paul Scholes if he is given his P45 at the end of the campaign.

"In spite of the attacks - and not only the media, the legends and other kinds of people - I am here and I am fighting."

"I am an open book and I believe in myself, I I believe in the players.

"I hope everybody is believing like me, then it is much easier.

"When you expect Manchester United must be champions, then you're disappointed.

"But in the eyes of some fans, or many fans, that's not enough because you have to win the title."

While not actually naming Scholes, it is clear who Van Gaal is referencing in his comments, given that Schoes has been the most vocal United legend during Van Gaal's reign and has repeatedly criticsed the ex-Bayern and Barcelona manager over the past two years.

Will Van Gaal prove his doubters wrong with results in the next two games, though?
