Loris Karius Is Determined To Be Liverpool's No.1

Liverpool confirmed the signing of Loris Karius this week from Jurgen Klopp's former side Mainz for £4.7 million, and he is determined to be the main man between the sticks.

Liverpool fans have been clamoring for a assured keeper for some time, and Klopp has been linked with abundance of keepers before completing the deal for Karius. After penning a five year contract and being graced with the No.1 shirt he's expecting to replace Simon Mignolet in goal. The Belgium keeper has come under fire through out this season for his calamitous errors.

Speaking to Liverpool TV, the German claimed it was an "honour" to play for a club with a "special history". While his ambition is to remain in goal every week for Liverpool. The 22-year-old is confident he is brought to Anfield to be a starter rather than a squad player.

He's received a glowing report from Germany for his performances for Mainz, which has seen him heralded as one of the brightest prospects in Germany. The budding star could become a cult hero at the club with ability in goal as well as his good looks actively keeping his admirers up to date.

Along with Karius' goalkeeping prowess he'll also be accompanied by his model girlfriend Annelie Alpert, who's a regular feature in his social media posts.
