Liverpool wrapped up the big-money signing of Roma winger Mohamed Salah last week and the next player on Jurgen Klopp's wishlist is RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita.

The 22-year old has been heavily linked with the Reds over the last few months after an excellent first season in the Bundesliga that saw Leipzig finish second and achieve automatic qualification to the Champions League next season.

In 32 matches, he scored 8 goals and registered seven assists from midfield.

Jurgen Klopp is a fan of what the Guinea international brings to the table and though Ed Aarons The Guardian says Liverpool have been encouraged by the fact Keita has refused a new contract and is keen on moving, Leipzig are proving stern negotiators and have slapped a whopping £70 million price tag on their main midfielder.

RB only bought Keita for £10 million from Red Bull Salzburg last season but the club rate him so highly that they are demanding a huge fee to prize him away.

Journalist Raphael Honigstein is today reporting that Keita does indeed want to leave and that the monstrous price tag is "genuine".

While The Guardian go on to say that Liverpool are considering paying £50 million to land one of their top targets, but "it remains to be seen" as to whether they will adhere to Leipzig's demands and go further with their bidding.

Liverpool fans, would you prepared to fork out £70 million for Keita or should you simply look elsewhere for a cheaper alternative?
