Liverpool fans want Virgil van Dijk to start taking free-kicks after seeing some of his strikes in training.

During the winter break at Melwood, the Dutchman practiced set-pieces along with teammates Jordan Henderson and usual free-kick taker Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Even with no wall or goalkeeper, all three players got some serious dip and whip on their set-plays whilst Andy Robertson watched on and gave them a load of stick.

But it was Van Dijk's prowess which really caught the eye. His technique of striking the ball is so impressive that plenty of supporters are calling for him to have a go in a match situation, as he did during his time at Celtic.

The former Southampton defender scored three free-kicks when he was playing up in Scotland, two of which were absolute beauties.

However, it seems as though Alexander-Arnold, who has scored a trio of free-kicks for the Reds, isn't really ready to pass up set-piece duty judging by his response to a fan asking him if he will let Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have a go.
