Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been stalling on a new contract for a while now but it seems like Reds' fans are now happy to see the back of him, even if he does look set to leave on a free.
The latest bit of information on the Can front, from The Mirror, is that he wants to be the highest-paid player at Anfield and is therefore demanding more than £200,000-a-week to stay put.
Receiving terms including the aforementioned whopping sum would be enough to convince Can, with three months left on his deal, to remain, but Liverpool are almost definitely not going to break their wage structure to tie him down.
And while he's a pretty good player, Liverpool fans on social media are in agreement that he doesn't warrant such a wage - especially with Naby Keita coming in:
Would Liverpool be making the right call in letting Can leave?
