Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been stalling on a new contract for a while now but it seems like Reds' fans are now happy to see the back of him, even if he does look set to leave on a free.
The latest bit of information on the Can front, from The Mirror, is that he wants to be the highest-paid player at Anfield and is therefore demanding more than £200,000-a-week to stay put.

Receiving terms including the aforementioned whopping sum would be enough to convince Can, with three months left on his deal, to remain, but Liverpool are almost definitely not going to break their wage structure to tie him down.
Liverpool will have to pay Emre Can more than £200,000-a-week if they want him to stay. Can wants to be the highest-paid player at Anfield, according to @MirrorFootball https://t.co/GeKC7RZ21e

And while he's a pretty good player, Liverpool fans on social media are in agreement that he doesn't warrant such a wage - especially with Naby Keita coming in:
emre can wanting 200k a week, mo salah firmino and mane combined is 310:joy::joy:

Emre Can wants Liverpool to pay him £200,000 a week if he is to stay at the club? When the club is only offering £200,000 a week to Salah to fend off any offers from Madrid?! Na mate he can go any time from today to Juventus or City!

Like Emre.. But for that money, we can do a whole lot better. First start paying salah more and get someone else in midfield

I've read Salah is on 80k a week, which puts into perspective how idiotic Emre Can is asking for 200k a week. I know who I'd be offering a fat new contract to...

He's had one too many cans if he thinks he's that good

Not worth it. Too inconsistent. He is not that good.

Then hr really does have an overinflated idea of his worth...or just really wants out...or is greedy and silly...or all of the above

I cannot believe Can is that arrogant

Would Liverpool be making the right call in letting Can leave?
