A Liverpool fan has put together a video of all the refereeing decisions that went against them in 2020/21.

The Reds finished third and secured an automatic Champions League spot courtesy of a final day win over Crystal Palace at Anfield but felt they were hard done by officials over the course of the campaign.

And though the season is done and dusted, Reds supporter @LVerpull is not forgetting the many calls that went against the six-time European champions and posted a two minute clip that has gone viral.

It starts off with the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, where Jordan Pickford was let off the hook for a horrendous challenge that put Virgil Van Dijk out for the season.

In the 2-2 draw, Liverpool had a last-gasp Jordan Henderson winner ruled out when Sadio Mane was controversially deemed to be offside by VAR.

Liverpool were also fuming in their 1-0 defeat at Southampton, where there were no less than THREE VAR calls, including two penalty shouts and an unpunished two-footed tackle on James Milner.

A slew of disallowed goals for the likes of Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino feature in the compilation, as well as the awarding of penalties against Manchester City, Sheffield United, Brighton, Burnley and Everton respectively.

Further high-profile incidents include Mane having his leg pulled by Karl Darlow in the 0-0 draw away at Newcastle - and the half-time whistle being blown just as he was running in behind against Manchester United.

A recent study shows that if VAR was not used in the Premier League, Liverpool would have swapped places with United and finished ahead of their rivals by one point.

Jurgen Klopp's side, who had a league-high 12 VAR calls, would have seen their points tally improved by three.
