The thread rejects the notion that Liverpool have got the rub of the green when it comes to VAR...

A fan has put together a thread to show that Liverpool haven't been favoured by VAR this season.

Yesterday, after Wolves had a goal ruled out through VAR at Anfield, "#LiVARpool" began trending on Twitter as fan fumed over Pedro Neto seeing his first Premier League goal disallowed due to the dodgy lines deeming Jonny Otto's hand to have been offside in the build-up.

And Twitter user '@HopeThisHelpsFC' felt the need to compose a thread reminding fans that Liverpool have had decisions go against them this season.

It includes goals for Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane being disallowed for the tightest of offside calls, Marcus Rashford's goal in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford standing despite a clear foul on Divock Origi in the build-up and VAR not picking up Joel Matip being put in a headlock when trying to attack a corner against Newcastle.

The general consensus amongst fans, however, is that VAR is not working. At the time of writing, over 7,000 people have signed a petition calling for the removal of VAR - with Gary Lineker's poll seeing 70.8% of people vote against it.
