Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has questioned Manchester United's transfers this summer ahead of the new Premier League season.
Man United have snapped up Jadon Sancho and appear close to completing the signing of Raphael Varane in big-money deals.
Ibrahima Konate has been Liverpool's only transfer of the summer, with the club losing Georginio Wijnaldum to Paris Saint-Germain.
Klopp is thought to be eyeing a midfielder ahead of the August 31 transfer deadline, with Saul Níguez linked with a move to Anfield.
The German has seen his rivals spend big with Manchester City drafting in Jack Grealish and Chelsea luring Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.
He's not surprised about Man City and Chelsea's spending spree, but has raised a question over Man United's business this summer.
Speaking ahead of his side's match against Norwich, he said via Manchester Evening News: "We all know the situation of Chelsea and City and PSG.

"What United are doing, I don't know how they did it.
"We have our own way to do it. We are allowed to spend the money we earn, that we always did.
"This year we spent before we earned money with Konate because after last season, just to be clear, we cannot take any risk in this position at all."
Klopp added: "I'm never surprised about the financial power of Chelsea, City or United, I've been here long enough to know they always find a solution to these things."
