Liverpool are now a massive 14 points ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League table following Pep Guardiola side's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.

Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-0 earlier in the day to move to 46 points while City have failed to close the gap.

City lost 2-1 at home to United with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial getting on the scoresheet at the Etihad to condemn the Blue's to their fourth league defeat of the season.

Liverpool are 14 points ahead of City who have 32 points on the board after 16 games played.

The league leaders are also 11 points ahead of Leicester City who face Aston Villa on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's side continued their blistering 2019/20 campaign by thrashing Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah secured Liverpool's 15th league win of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Manchester City turn their attention to the Champions League in midweek before resuming their league venture against Watford and Arsenal, respectively.
