Lionel Messi's Lookalike Has Been Spotted In Iran

The resemblance is there to see...

There's only one Lionel Messi.

The Argentine ace has once again been providing more magic in recent times after sinking Real Madrid in Sunday's El Clasico at the Bernabeu.

Here's Messi appearing to spit out a tooth after being on the end of an elbow from Marcelo in the first-half:

The Barcelona legend's second strike in the 92nd minute to give the Blaugrana a 3-2 win was his 500th goal and prompted a passionate celebration where Messi removed his shirt and held it aloft to a silenced Bernabeu.

It appears to be starting quite the trend among Barcelona supporters:

Not resting on 500 though, Messi was again tearing it up mere days later when he bagged a double against bottom club Osasuna in a 7-1 rout at the Nou Camp to take his tally to 502 goals.

The second strike was further evidence that there is nobody on this earth like Lionel Messi.

And though there's no-one capable of doing what Messi does on a football pitch, there is someone on the planet who has the look of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Iranian football fan Riza Perestes has come into prominence thanks to his uncanny resemblance to Messi.

Perestes has the same slick hair and beard combo that Messi has and dons the current Argentina home shirt to look even more like the 29-year old.

Check out Messi's doppelganger here:

Were they separated at birth or what?!

My guess is that Perestes, the Messi lookalike, isn't as handy with a ball at his feet as the real Messi is.

Since the 2011/12 season, Barcelona have netted 652 league goals with Messi staggeringly being involved in 46.16% of them, which is a bit mental.

What other great football lookalikes can you think of?
