Lionel Messi Starts And Finishes Brilliant Attack After No-Look Backheel Assist From Martin Braithwaite

Lionel Messi and Martin Braithwaite combined brilliantly to score a sublime goal for Barcelona against Elche on Wednesday.

Messi started the attack by driving at Elche's defence, skipping past a few players before picking out his strike partner Braithwaite.

The Danish forward then produced a stunning assist by performing a no-look backheel assist to the Argentine maestro.

Messi rounded off the swift move with a neat finish inside the box to give his side the lead.

Messi made it 2-0 with a finish from close range and played a part in Barcelona's third goal as Jordi Alba headed home.

Messi's 17th and 18th La Liga goal of the season moves him above former teammate Luis Suarez as the league's top scorer.
