Lionel Messi Leaves Defender On The Floor Questioning Why He Became A Footballer

Lionel Messi Leaves Defender On The Floor Questioning Why He Became A Footballer

Gerard Pique recently referred to teammate Lionel Messi as "one of the biggest trolls I know" and the five-time Ballon d'Or has lived up to that description by completely and utterly taking the piss out of poor Marc Roca in today's Derby Barceloni.

Roca was made to look like an absolute fool when he tried to harry Messi, who twisted, turned, feigned and left the Spaniard on his hands and knees as if he was playing football with his dog.

It's just pure savagery from Messi. Just four minutes into the game, in one swift sequence, he well and truly made Roca question why he became a footballer by showing no mercy whatsoever.

Roca is still probably thinking about life as we speak but at least he can take some solace in the fact that a whole host of world-class players have been mugged off by Messi over the years.

He famously sat Jerome Boateng down on the way to scoring a silky solo goal against Bayern Munich a few years back, while more recently he basically took the dog for a walk while Gareth Bale was pressing him in addition to bodying Dani Carvajal during El Clasico.

Messi made history in today's derby by appearing in the fixture for the 33rd time, beating the previous all-time appearance record set by former teammate Xavi.
