Left-foot, right foot - no problem for Lionel Messi. The Barcelona talisman scored a stunning hat-trick, including two worldies, to terrorise Sevilla once again in a thrilling 4-2 comeback win.

Fed by Ousmane Dembele in the 66th minute, the Argentine took one touch to get the ball out of his feet and then curled in an absolute beauty with his weaker right peg, rescuing Barca again and also angering Pele in the process.

With his glorious goal to level matters yet again, Messi further dispelled the myths Pele was spewing back in December.

The three-time World Cup winner claimed that Messi cannot use his weaker foot, cannot head the ball and only has one trick to his game.

"How can you make a comparison between a guy who heads the ball well, shoots with the left, shoots with the right and another who only shoots with one leg, only has one skill and doesn't head the ball well?" the former Santos forward told Folha de Sao Paulo, via The Mirror.

"How can you compare? To compare with Pele, it has to be someone who shoots well with the left, shoots well with the right, and scores headers."

He also stated that Maradona was "much better" than Messi to continue his astonishing attack on the Barcelona captain.

But Messi has made the Brazilian look like a mug once with his heroics today. His first goal was also an absolute screamer and probably the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's goal of the season.

Messi was involved in the build-up (of course he was) and when the ball was floated in by Ivan Rakitic, he finished off the move by displaying some quite unbelievable technique to volley home into the top bins.

He's now on 25 goals and counting in La Liga this season and continues to leave us in awe every time he steps onto a football pitch.
