It looks like Lionel Messi declined a shirt swap with Mitchell van Bergen following his Paris Saint-Germain debut.

Messi made his first appearance for PSG since his blockbuster free transfer against Reims on Sunday.

He entered the fray in the second-half and showed his class, but was unable to score or assist.

But the six-time Ballon d'Or winner was the centre of attention at the final whistle.

Predrag Rajkovic bagged a Messi souvenir in the shape of a picture of the Argentine with his child.

Van Bergen also tried to secure a Messi memento but, unfortunately, to no avail. Well, that's how it looks like.

A video shows the 22-year-old approaching the former Barcelona man and asking for his shirt.

Though it appears the superstar forward turned down the offer, perhaps looking to keep his debut PSG shirt.

As Messi walked off the field, though, he signed a fan's banner and spoke with Thierry Henry, who was on punditry duty for the league match.

The 34-year-old now reports for international duty for three World Cup qualifiers including a game against Brazil - a repeat of last month's Copa America final.

When club football returns, Messi could be in line to make his home PSG debut against Clermont Foot on September 12.
