West Ham Have Invited Pretty Much Everyone To Their Last Match At Upton Park

There's some odd invited here!

West Ham United will be hoping their farewell to Upton Park will go more swimmingly than their final FA Cup game at the ground. In a twist of fate they face the same opposition in Manchester United and pretty much everyone's invited to the party.

The Hammers will be heading to the Olympic Stadium next season, courtesy of the rest of the countries taxes, and so it's time to say farewell to the Boleyn Ground that has housed them since 1904 for one last time when they face Manchester United on May 10th.

The club are obviously having a bit of a celebration on the night and of the around 450 players who have played for them that are still alive they've invited 300 former players. That figure oddly includes hate figures such as Frank Lampard and Paul Ince.

Both Lampard and Ince have been hate characters at Upton Park from the moment they left for Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford respectively and been booed anytime they returned as players.

It's set to be an emotional farewell to the historic ground, especially with Champions League football still possible for both sides, but we can't imagine that the fans will be too pleased if their most hated former players turn up.
