An emotional watch.

Lukasz Piszczek played in his last ever cup final for Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night - and it was an emotional end to what has been a wonderful career.

The 35-year-old, who has spent over 11 years at The Westfalenstadion after joining on a free transfer from Hertha Berlin, broke down in tears following the club's emphatic DFB Pokal win against RB Leipzig.

As you can see in the clip below, Piszczek was hoisted in the air by his teammates as he covered his tears. Who is cutting onions in here?

After being one of the most consistent and loyal players in the club's history, the former Poland international deserved a good send off - and he got exactly that.

"I've no words," Piszczek said after his final game. "I know that my career is slowly coming to an end and I never dreamed of such a highlight."

In another classy move, Piszczek will now return to hometown club LKS Goczalkowice, who play in the third tier of Polish football.

"I have concrete plans in Poland and have already postponed these plans for a year," he said last season.

"I want to play with friends from my hometown club Goczalkowice, where my father is vice-president, and take care of the youth academy that we started in 2019.

"I grew up here, this is where I developed into the man I am today, which is why I wanted to give something back."

A Dortmund legend and a true gentlemen, I'm sure you'll agree.
