Nine months after winning the Premier League title with Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri has been sacked by the club because players knifed him in the back and complained to the board about his tenure, according to The Mirror.
Ranieri may have won Leicester's first title in 133 years, but that didn't stop The Foxes from making the decision on Thursday night.
Leicester's club statement read: "domestic results in the current campaign have placed the Club's Premier League status under threat and the Board reluctantly feels that a change of leadership, while admittedly painful, is necessary in the Club's greatest interest."
The Mirror have, however, stated that Leicester City players were the reason behind his sacking, stating that senior Leicester players recently complained about Claudio Ranieri to the club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

In the report, it also states that a Leicester player walked into the players lounge and declared: "That's it, we don't know what we are doing, we are ****ed." after their defeat to Manchester United earlier this month.
Former Leicester City striker Gary Lineker reacted with outrage to the news Claudio Ranieri had been sacked by the Premier League champions on Thursday evening.
Lineker said the following on social media:
Despite the bad news surrounding Ranieri's departure, here's a clip of his greatest press conference ever. Enjoy!
