Legend after legend after legend.

Andrea Pirlo celebrated his magnificent career with a game like no other.

If you were a fan of 90's football then this was a dream come true. From the likes of Filippo Inzaghi, who managed to bag a hat-trick in the testimonial, to Francesco Totti, Clarence Seedorf and Alessandro Nesta.

Not to mention Christian Vieri, Gennaro Gattuso, Paolo Maldini and Luca Toni, among so many other legendary figures, including the only British representative, Frank Lampard, who played with the iconic Pirlo during his time in New York.

It was an absolute joy to watch.

If you didn't catch the match, then don't worry because we've got you sorted.

As me mentioned earlier, Inzaghi typically found the scoresheet three times in a 14 goal thriller, as the likes of Cafu and Francesco Totti ran rings around the opposition.

No seriously, I reckon the Brazilian full-back could still play at a high level at the age of 47.

Sky Sports streamed the entire match online as millions around the world enjoyed perhaps the most star studded game of all time.

To put things into perspective, Gianluigi Buffon, Dida, Cafu, Fabio Cannavaro, Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta, Mauro Camoranesi and Rui Costa featured, while Roberto Baggio made an appearance from the bench.

Here are some highlights from the epic game:

715 games, 116 Italy caps and 18 trophies later, Andrea Pirlo has come a long way since making his Serie A debut for Brescia against Reggiana in May, 1996, but his playing days are all but over,

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pirlo admitted that "the time has come":

"You realise that the time has come. Every day you have physical problems, you cannot train as you want because you always have some problem.

"At my age, that's enough. It's not that you can go on forever until the age of 50. I'll do something else.

"At 38, it's just right to give young players room. I'm not angry. Instead, I will give a hand to team-mates and to the coach."

We will miss you, Andrea, but cheers for that cracking testimonial, last night.
