Congratulations and messages of support have been pouring in for the new Premier League champions Leicester City over the past 18 hours or so since the final whistle of Tottenham's 2-2 draw with Chelsea blew at Stamford Bridge. And now maybe the biggest one has just been posted on social media.
None other than Andrea 'Half Man, Half Haircut' Pirlo has tweeted his appreciation of the Foxes extraordinary achievements under fellow Italian Claudio Ranieri this season, which of course now means Leicester absolutely need to declare their interest in bringing Pirlo out of his trendy New York exile and back to Europe's big leagues, if only for a season in which he just stands in the centre circle for the last five minutes of every match and attempts lofted through balls to Jamie Vardy.
Come on, Claudio, make it happen. Use Pirlo's newfound fondness for Leicester to lure him to the King Power in time for the next campaign. Maybe get Serge from Kasabian to pen him a song? You already play in a blue and white kit, so it's basically just like playing for Italy. Sort of.
