Jose Mourinho's star-studded Real Madrid side in the 2011/12 season will go down as one of the greatest teams in football history.

That's because they scored an incredible 121 goals that campaign - the most in Spanish football history and a European record.

With players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil and Kaka at Mourinho's disposal, Los Blancos were able to put on a masterclass in counter attack football.

Twitter user @Benzemology shared an amazing compilation of Mourinho's 2011/12 side in action and it makes for fascinating viewing.

The Real Madrid fan account wrote: "José Mourinho's 2011/12 Real Madrid side holds the record for most league goals scored in Spanish football history.

"121 goals (Also a European record).

"A display of speed and clinical counter attacks."

Karim Benzema - 21 goals, 11 assists

Gonzalo Higuain - 22 goals, 9 assists

Mesut Ozil - 4 goals, 19 assists

Angel Di Maria - 5 goals, 16 assists

Kaka - 5 goals, 10 assists
