Lionel Messi put on a show-stealing performance for Barcelona against Getafe and ended the match on a high note after a touching moment with Jaime Mata.
The 31-year-old Argentina international swapped shirts with the Getafe star.
In fact, the 30-year-old former Real Valladolid star revealed that he had asked Messi for the shirt swap, as well as enjoying a hug with the Barcelona captain.
"It was an honour to get Messi's jersey," he told Diario AS.
"It's an honour to play against the best player in the world and it's a good thing to be able to share the field with him."
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner opened the scoring for the Spanish club against Getafe.
Luis Suárez doubled Barcelona's lead, but while Mata found the back of the net, the reigning La Liga champions claimed a 2-1 victory.
It was Messi grabbing social media by storm after his incredible pass took out six Getafe players and found Suárez with absolute precision.
One fan was so impressed with his skills that he unofficially turned his name into a verb.
Barcelona are at the top of La Liga and have opened a five-point lead over second-place Atlético Madrid.
