Fernando Torres sent a warm message of congratulations to Steven Gerrard, after the former Liverpool captain was confirmed as the new manager of Rangers.
Gerrard was paraded in-front of fans and the media at Ibrox on Friday after putting pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with the Glasgow club, and accepting his first-ever senior role in football management.
Of course, Gerrard became a household name as a world class footballer at Anfield, and some of his most successful years were playing alongside Torres in Liverpool's iconic red jersey.

Torres is still playing for his boyhood club Atletico Madrid but it seems the World Cup winner has been keeping a close eye on what's been going on in the world of Scottish football.
Torres, 34, is out of contract in the summer, and has announced he'll be leaving Ateltico - so could he end up having a swansong at Rangers?
Rangers fans quickly swarmed the Twitter post and pleaded for the former Liverpool striker to join Gerrard at Ibrox next season.
