Dirk Kuyt has announced details of his testimonial at the end of the season and it promises to be an absolute cracker.

The former Netherlands international retired from the game at the end of the 2016/17 campaign, bowing out in the most perfect way by scoring the hat-trick that delivered the Eredivisie title to his beloved Feyenoord.

Feyenoord were the second club side of his senior career, moving there from Utrecht in 2003, before moving on to Liverpool where he gained cult hero status for his happy knack of scoring important goals, and his incredible work rate.

He then turned out for Fenerbahce but returned to Rotterdam to reach over 100 goals and play a starring role in the first League title success since 1999.

On 27 May, the 37-year old will be back at De Kuip in Rotterdam for his big send-off and will be joined by several of his legendary team-mates from Utrecht, Feyenoord, Liverpool, Fenerbahce and the Dutch national team

According to De Telegraaf, Thomas Buffel, Patrick Lodewijks, Rick Karsdorp, Salomon Kalou and Giovanni van Bronckhorst - the latter of which Kuyt played with and then played under, are all in the mix.

Jerzy Dudek, Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard from Liverpool are all expected to feature, while there's even talk that Luis Suarez, who linked up well with Kuyt during his time at Anfield, could be involved.

If that's enough, his former Holland buddies, Rafael van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder, Nigel de Jong, Arjen Robben, Edwin van der Sar, Frank de Boer and Phillip Cocu are all poised to be turning up.

Could it be any more stacked? We'll certainly be tuning in when 27 May rolls around and there's no doubt that De Kuip with be packed with Feyenoord supporters.
