Barcelona Fan's Savage Reply To Arsenal Fan Saying Lionel Messi Couldn't Do It In The Premier League

A Barcelona fan has mercilessly trolled an Arsenal fan for claiming that Lionel Messi couldn't score 20 goals in a Premier League season.

Social media user @afcjoshh took to Twitter to make a bold claim about Messi, who scored an impressive 30 goals in all competitions last season.

He said: "Prime messi wouldn't score 20 goals in a premier league season."

A Barcelona supporter immediately jumped to the defence of Messi, who has a terrific scoring record against English clubs in the Champions League.

Social media user @TheBarca_Guy responded to the Arsenal fan's post by sharing a video of Messi tormenting the Gunners back in April 2010.

He wrote: "Messi scored 4 Goals in 90 minutes against your club. Have some shame man."

Needless to say, the Twitter exchange about Messi vs. Premier League sent social media wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "He will get 20 in 5 matches against the best arsenal team ever assembled."

A second tweeted: "Messi has 0.90 Goal per 90 mins which is highest is history while also having most assists in history. If he played in English Premier League, he would have won 10 Ballon Dors by now."
