There's A Petition To Rename A Stand At The Stadium of Light After Bradley Lowery

Following the sad news of Bradley Lowery's death on Friday afternoon, a petition is current being shared across social media to rename a stand at The Stadium of Light after the inspirational six-year-old.

Kiel Tulloch from Folkestone, United Kingdom, wants 'a whole stand or even just the Family Zone' to be named after little Bradley because he has 'brought football and even beyond the beautiful game together.'

Bradley, who suffered from Neuroblastoma, touched the heart of a nation during his short life.

The youngster battled to the very end with a smile across his face and his spirit and smile certainly did bring football together as a community.

At the time of writing, the 'Rename a stand at The Stadium of Light after Bradley Lowery' petition has over 15,000 signatures on change.org.

It hopes to reach a target of 25,000, with the petition being delivered to Sunderland AFC.

The petition states:

"As most of us know now young Bradley Lowery is the little warrior currently fighting neuroblastoma at the age of only 5 years old.

After the devastating news a few days ago his latest and possibly the last possible cure didn't work this petition is to try and get a stand named after the little legend at The Sunderland Stadium of Light his beloved football team to give the young lad all our continued support.

The idea if for a whole stand or even just the Family Zone to be named after Bradley as not only has he brought the Sunderland family together he has brought football and even beyond the beautiful game together.

Please sign and get the word about.

To mention I'm not sure how easy it would be to do this and the support Sunderland have shown already has been amazing but if we can get a lot of signatures I'm sure at least they'd look at it."
