The latest update on Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn't bode too well for Manchester United fans.

The No.9 was taken off injured after picking up a nasty-looking knee injury in the last second of normal time as Manchester United were taken to extra time by Anderlecht in the Europa League.

With the 90 minutes all but over Michael Carrick played a long ball towards Ibrahimovic.

The former Barcelona striker looked to have brought the ball down but as he landed his leg looked to have hyper extended which led to him being taken off.

He was able to walk off the pitch without needing a stretcher, but it appears there is still some significant damage done.

Sky Sports are reporting that Ibrahimovic is unlikely to play for United again this season.

It's also possible that Ibrahimovic has played his last game in a United shirt. His United contract is up after the season and there has been talk of him receiving a mega £5 million-a-year offer from MLS side LA Galaxy.

We wait official confirmation on Ibrahimovic's injury from Manchester United.
