Frank Lampard is absolutely terrified of ghosts, according to his wife.
The Chelsea and England legend cemented his place amongst the pantheon of all-time great British footballers during his time at Stamford Bridge, but he was hiding a secret fear of the paranormal all along, it turns out.
Speaking at the launch of her new TV show, Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live, Frank's TV presenter wife Christine revealed that whilst she copes OK with things that go bump in the night, her husband is definitely less assured.
She said via the Mirror: "Frank believes (in ghosts).

"He could easily be scared. He wouldn't stay in this hotel, put it that way. He really wouldn't. If he thought something was haunted he just would not be happy about it. He'd be dreadful on it."
What makes matters worse is that Lampard is currently playing in the MLS for New York City FC - and you know how seriously they take Halloween in the States at this time of year.
Hopefully Frank's booked a few days off to hide under the bed around the 31st, and we're in absolutely no doubt that trick-or-treaters will be getting absolutely nothing if they happen to chap on the Lampard front door.
