Rangnick is set to be appointed as Man United interim boss until the end of the season.
The 63-year-old will reportedly sign a six-month contract at Old Trafford and will also take on a consultancy role with the club for two further years.
The veteran boss has been credited for the spectacular rise of Gegenpressing, with Liverpool boss Klopp hilariously bemoaning Man United's shrewd hire.
He praised Rangnick's managerial style and predicts Man United will become a more organised outfit.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, he said: "We usually don't talk about things that are not confirmed, but unfortunately a good coach is coming to Manchester United!
"He built two proper forces in Germany - he is really experienced. United will be organised."
Klopp added: "He built two clubs in Hoffenheim and Leipzig. His first concern is being a coach and that's his skill.
"All coaches in the world need time to train so that makes it trickier for him. He's a good man and an outstanding coach.
"He is highly regarded with the coaches. Where he has been he has done incredible jobs.
"In the football world in Germany, he is very well regarded and rightly so."
Michael Carrick, who oversaw the club's victory against Villarreal in the Champions League, is set to resume his managerial responsibilities this weekend against Chelsea.
Rangnick is awaiting a work permit before officially taking charge of Man United.
