Germany's new away kit for the 2018 World Cup went down an absolute storm this week after Adidas released official pictures of the cutting-edge design.

Mesut Ozil, Mats Hummels and Toni Kroos modelled the 'blast from the past' style jersey in a fetching photoshoot, but when Paris Saint-German midfielder Julian Draxler gave everybody a glimpse, plenty noticed the unfortunate typeface font.

It turns out there might be a slight issue for those watching who haven't heard of the former Schalke and Wolfsburg player.

Twitter account @sportsfonts_com point out that the 'type face' font style means that Draxler's name could be pronounced Oarxlea or Darhlea.

In fact, there's over 20 different outcomes when you look at the confusing shirt name.

As we mentioned earlier, plenty of people picked up on the confusion and some even suggested some new outcomes.

Here are some of the best:

In other Germany-related news, with just 85 days until the start of the 2018 World Cup, Joachim Low has named his 26-man squad for their upcoming friendlies with Spain and Brazil.

The likes of Jerome Boateng, Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller and Timo Werner will face Spain in Düsseldorf and Brazil in Berlin on 23 and 27 March, but Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus misses out - which puts into perspective how difficult it is to be included in the Germany squad.

"With Marco, it's important to be cautious and make sure we don't put any unnecessary pressure on him," Löw said. "Above all, he needs to be playing regularly without any pain, so he can get into a rhythm."

Mario Gotze was also not included in the 28-man squad.

Do you think Germany can win the World Cup this time around?
