Bundesliga Side FC Koln Have Worn SEVEN Different Kits This Season

Against modern football kits...

Home, away and third kits are the norm in football today but Bundesliga side FC Koln have worn a staggering SEVEN kits in all competitions this season.

Football clubs releasing multiple kits every season is costly enough for supporters, yet it really does pale in comparison to Koln going kit crazy this term.

Koln, who were in Arsenal's Europa League group and beat them on matchday five, are currently bottom of the Bundesliga, having collected just 15 points from 24 games - losing 14 of their matches in the German top flight.

It's been a dreadful season for the side who finished in fifth place last season.

On Sunday, however, they claimed a big win over last season's runners up RB Leipzig when they defeated Ralph Hasenhüttl's side on their own patch.

They did so sporting a seventh kit this season, which is surely some sort of record. As noted by Footy Headlines, because of a slight kit clash, Koln wore a makeshift black strip for the victory and with it bringing them good luck, they might want to wear it again.

Like most clubs, the Billy Goats had their mandatory three kits to begin with (a red and white striped home kit, a red away kit and a grey third kit featuring hints of green).

But they've also worn last season's third kit for a game against Augsburg in the early weeks of the season, as well as having a retro kit and kit solely for their Europa League fixtures. That's a lot of kits from their manufacturers, Erima!

According to Footy Headlines, anyone to have purchased all of the shirts, excluding the one from last season, would have been set back a whopping £422.00.

Clearly, despite having a kit for every day of the week, none have really brought many wins for Stefan Ruthenbeck and his team.

Incredibly, their former Europa League opponents Arsenal have also had some kit troubles - with it seeming like their blue away kit is cursed given their wretched record wearing it.
