UPDATE: Mundo Deportivo (via AS) reports that the Royal Spanish Football Federation have prohibited Barca from wearing the kit.

Original story follows below...

Barcelona will wear special match shirts versus Real Madrid in tonight's anticipated El Clasico.

The Catalan giants host their fierce rivals Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg.

Lionel Messi is expected to be fit after struggling with a thigh problem and if he does grace the pitch, he'll don a commemorative match shirt.

To mark the Chinese New Year - which is being celebrated this week, Barcelona will wear shirts with their names in English and in Chinese characters just below the regular names.

"The first time that the Club has added new characters on the back of the shirt" per Barcelona.

Barcelona will also be going to China and Japan for the 2019 summer tour.

Meanwhile, it's the first of THREE El Clasicos tonight. The return leg is slated in three weeks time before the two meet again in La Liga on March 2nd.

Barcelona are on the hunt for an impressive treble with Ernesto Valverde's side in the thick of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League.

His team are top of the league and just two games away from a spot in the domestic cup final. Not to mention going strong in Europe.
