England made the perfect start to their first World Cup semi-final for 28 years courtesy of a sublime free-kick from Kieran Trippier.
The Spurs man's set-pieces have been absolutely sensational throughout the showpiece in Russia but his role was tweaked mere minutes into the clash with Croatia, as he switched from provider to producer - curling in an inch-perfect free-kick after Dele Alli had been fouled outside the box.
Move over David Beckham, we've got a new set-piece king in the England national team.
It was the perfect way for Bury's finest to open his account for his country. Danijel Subasic in the Croatia goal didn't even get anywhere near it, such was the wonderful placement from the Manchester City youth product.
As per usual, Twitter erupted with some stellar reactions:
'The Bury Beckham' has had a phenomenal tournament thus far and is well on course to be named in the team of the tournament. But more importantly, he's given England an early advantage in their bid to reach Sunday's World Cup final and ultimately bring football back home again.
