Kepa Arrizabalaga made a costly error upon his return to the Chelsea side this afternoon.

The Spaniard has been firmly displaced by Eduard Mendy in terms of the goalkeeping birth at the club following his arrival from Rennes in the summer but was given a run-out in between the sticks for the FA Cup fourth round tie with Luton Town.

The Blues were 2-0 up early on after Tammy Abraham struck twice in quick succession but the Championship outfit pulled one back on the half hour mark.

Jordan Clark found the net after a cut-back from the right yet it was an incredibly soft goal that Kepa was at fault for.

Kepa, a £71 million signing from Athletic Bilbao, has made mistakes at an alarming rate since joining Chelsea and was subject to plenty of criticism on social media after the tame Clark effort squeezed past him.

Since the start of last season, Kepa has a save percentage of just 58.8% - which is the lowest of any Premier League goalkeeper with 20 or more appearances in that time.

A couple of weeks ago in the FA Cup third round, Morecambe's bench hit headlines after they were heard shouting, "SHOOT!" any time they had a sight of Kepa's goal in the 4-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.
