A few Manchester City fans may have been disheartened when they heard the news that Sergio Aguero would be suspended for the Manchester derby, yet they needn't have feared, given that Kelechi Iheanacho stepped into the Argentine's role and scored the winner at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime.

In finding the back of the net, Iheanacho became the youngest ever City goalscorer in a Manchester derby, aged just 19 years and 243 days. United's teenage prodigy, Marcus Rashford, was reduced to a bench role, although the England international was impressive when introduced at half-time.

Iheanacho reacted quickest to Kevin De Bruyne's effort, which came back off the post, to tap in and hand his side a 2-0 lead.

The Nigerian teenager will be looking to build on an impressive debut Premier League campaign from last season, when he scored eight goals in 26 appearances.
