N'Golo Kante is as modest as he is energetic and is widely tipped to be named the Premier League Player of the Year, though the French midfielder believes three of his teammates deserve the gong ahead of him.

Following his heroics for Leicester City, which included powering the Foxes towards their incredible Premier League triumph, last season, Kante was snapped up by Chelsea in a £30m deal. And while the Champions struggle in the league, Chelsea have held a stranglehold on top spot since last year.

With many highlighting Kante's influence.

Ten games remain in the league as Chelsea sit comfortably at the summit, 10 points clear of their nearest rivals, Spurs, while also vying for the domestic double, having reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they will face Mauricio Pochettino's men for a place in the final.

Conte has had the luxury of some of the finest talent in Europe at his disposal from Diego Costa, Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, to name but a few.

Posing the question; who should be named Player of the Year?

While Kante is the red-hot favourite, the diminutive 25-year-old has revealed who he thinks should be crowned with the prestigious award.

"There are quite a few players in the Premier League who deserve this award. There is [Eden] Hazard, Diego Costa and David Luiz in my team." He said in an interview with Canal+ via Mirror.

To be fair, he's not wrong. Those aforementioned names have also produced on a consistent basis churning out impressive performances.

Hazard has recaptured his form from a few years ago, forging a deadly partnership with Diego Costa who has been banging goals in for fun after a dismal 2015/16 campaign. And the pair continue to be heavily linked with a move away from West London, with Real Madrid tracking the Belgium ace.

The Spanish striker remains subject of intense speculation. I guess it doesn't help when you talk up a potential transfer as Costa did when he revealed to French outlet Telefoot, that he'd be open to a move to France's Ligue 1 by saying; "Playing in France? Why not!"

Not to mention Luiz who has returned to The Bridge, becoming one of the Italian's first name on the team-sheet.

But Kante has to surely be crowned player of the year, right?
