Kamil Glik's wife has received sickening death threats on social media following England's fiery game against Poland.

Glik has been embroiled in controversy following his on-field spat with Kyle Walker during their World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

The Three Lions reported the incident with FIFA opening an investigation over allegations the Poland defender made a racist remark or gesture to the Manchester City star.

The Benevento player has denied any wrongdoing, with both teams clashing just before half-time in Warsaw.

His wife, Marta, has since been subjected to vile messages online, revealing them on social media.

In a statement, FIFA said: "FIFA is in the process of analysing the official match reports of the FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Poland and England.

"The relevant information will be assessed by the competent disciplinary bodies in order to decide on next steps."

The 1-1 draw, meanwhile, leaves Poland in third place in Group I, five points behind group leaders England and one point behind second-placed Albania.
