Juventus aren't wasting any time in the transfer market and are close to finalising a deal for one of their key targets before the January window has even opened.

That's because Tomas Rincon has completed a medical ahead of his move to Juventus.

Rincon, a 28-year old midfielder who has been a regular for 12th placed Genoa in Serie A, passed his medical with no issues according to the official Juventus website.

The Venezuelan international arrived at the club's medical facility yesterday morning, completed the necessary activities and procedures before finishing up in the afternoon.

Should the final details be ironed out as expected, Juventus will adding another talented player to their impressive squad.

Rincon is set to join on loan for a £1.7m, with Juve then having the chance to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

They are also looking to secure a deal for long-time target Alex Witsel from Zenit St Petersburg.
