Claudio Marchisio Wants To Sign Euro 2020 Final Petition So 'Italy Can Beat England Another Thousand Times'

A petition to replay the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy has reached nearly 150,000 signatures.

Claudio Marchisio joked he wants to sign the petition for the Euro 2020 final to be replayed so Italy can "beat England another one thousand times".

Roberto Mancini's side defeated the Three Lions on penalties after a tense 1-1 draw in 120 minutes of action at Wembley to claim their second European Championship win.

Football came to Rome instead of "home", with England losing in the most gutting circumstances in their first major international final for 55 years.

Gareth Southgate's side, who conceded just two goals in the whole tournament, were a tad unlucky and an incredible number of fans called for a rematch to be organised.

Straight after the game, Change.org user Sharon Guilmen set up a petition where she claimed the match was "not fair at all" and made the very strong accusation that the match officials were "biased" in favour of Italy.

The fan was furious with Giorgio Chiellini's cynical pull-back on Bukayo Saka during injury time. The Azzurri skipper knew that Saka was running past him on the right flank and was happy to take the yellow card from referee Bjorn Kuipers.

He even earned praise from Jose Mourinho for the challenge.

Astoundingly, nearly 150,000 fans have signed the petition and Juventus legend Marchisio mocked the campaign by saying Italy would still come out on top if the game was replayed another 1,000 times.

"Sorry but where is the petition signed to have the Italy-England final replayed?" the former midfielder asked on Twitter.

"We win it another thousand times."

A few days after the game, one Italy fan continued the sh*housery by getting a tattoo of the moment Chiellini hauled Saka to the turf.

The ink also features the Henri Delaunay trophy, with it looking as though Saka is having the prize taken away from him.

Saka missed England's crucial spot-kick in the shoot-out and Chiellini claimed to have put a 'curse' on the young star after shouting "Kiricocho!" as he stepped up to take the shot from 12 yards.
