Mesut Özil could be ready to leave Arsenal after attracting interest from Juventus and Inter Milan.

According to reports from Italy, Gunners boss Unai Emery is drawing the line on the 30-year-old midfielder's future at the club.

It is also reported that if the former Real Madrid ace were allowed to leave in January, then the Gunners would be able to continue their pursuit in landing Denis Suárez from Barcelona.

Özil was left out of the squad for Arsenal's 1-0 defeat to West Ham United on Saturday.

However, Emery has confirmed that he had been "left out for tactical reasons."

"I decided the players I think are the best for this match," he explained.

"We win with him, we lose with him. I think it is not one player [which means] we can't win or lose.

"The players who were here are the players who deserved to be in this match.

"We could've won or lost. We continue working with every player because they are all important, but the decision was to come with these players."

Özil moved to Arsenal in 2013 and has made 155 appearances for the club.

Last year, he became the highest-paid player in Arsenal's history after he signed a three-year contract extension. Despite penning a new deal, his future at the Gunners remains unclear.
