Jurgen Klopp served up a hilarious response when asked for some advice on how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can rebuild Manchester United and the challenge he faces.

United failed to take points off Manchester City thus hampering Liverpool's Premier League title hopes.

They lost 2-0 to Pep Guardiola's side at Old Trafford and Klopp has reacted to the potentially season-defining moment in brilliant fashion.

"They never helped me, why should I help him?" He said in his pre-match press conference.

"It takes time. If we hadn't had such an interesting ride in the Europa League [2016] I don't think there would have been too many positives.

"I think the financial power of United is enough to sort the problems."

The Liverpool boss has also shared his thoughts on the outcome of the Manchester derby.

"It was really the result I expected," he added. "United tried whatever they can, in the first half especially, but in the 95 minutes it was clear they can't stand City in the moment.

"They were unlucky in moments but then they couldn't stand City

"If we win our next two games then the title will be decided on the final match day and that would be pretty special. That's what we are concentrating on."
