After losing out on Ronald Koeman to Everton despite offering European football and finishing higher in the league, Southampton look to have a new man on their wish list if the bookies are to be believed.

German legend and current US Men's National Team manager Jurgen Klinsmann has become a huge favourite with the bookies to take over the reigns at the Hampshire club after the Dutchman was lured away by Everton.

This could be a huge coup for the Saints - who finished 6th in the Premier League last year. 'Flipper' has never had a win ratio below 55% (and an average of 57.14%) in his three managerial positions and breathed fresh air into USMNT when he was appointed in August 2011.

They've got a recent history of very good innovative managers, with Koeman following on from current Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino and it would be expected that Klinsmann could deliver even more success in the same way he has over his 12-year managerial career.

Despite crashing out of the Copa America following an embarrassing 4-0 loss to Argentina, the US still managed to reach the Semi-Finals; earning victories over Costa Rica, Paraguay and Ecuador in the process.

Klinsmann has also come under some criticism whilst manager in America and had a big falling out with US soccer legend Landon Donovan when the manager left Donovan out of the squad for the 2014 World Cup. The former Fulham forward recently admitted that the paid had patched things up.
