In just his second senior cap, the 17-year-old bossed the middle of the park and showed off his class.
The former Birmingham youth star was composed on the ball and played some delicate passes in the final third.
He also nearly opened his international account, but his acrobatic effort narrowly missed the net.
England fans loved his second-half showing and his performance even left Keane stunned.
The Manchester United legend hailed the rising prospect, calling him a "complete midfielder" in a glowing assessment.
He said: "Bellingham looks like a complete midfielder. He's still a kid playing regularly in Germany.
"He'll be disappointed with missing the chance, but at 17 he has nice composure, happy to break forward, very good night's work.
"He will be disappointed with the chance, he tries to complicate it when he should just side-foot it."
Ian Wright also waxed lyrical, saying: "Some players want to move it quickly and he has a nice calmness to him, and we're going to need it."
Think the most impressive thing about Hollywood Bellingham tonight is just how involved he's been. Yes, it's San Marino but he's been everywhere, kept it, lent it, cruyff turned it and had a couple of chances too!
Hate to say it, but we told you so ♂️

People that call Bellingham overrated seem to not realise how unbelievable it is that he's playing at this level at 17, him in 4/5 years will be scary

Eni Aluko added: "You wouldn't think he's 17. He's very articulate, he's only a kid, he shows a level of comfort playing for Dortmund week in week out rather than playing on the bench for a big club."
Bellingham could feature for Gareth Southgate's side when England return to action against Albania on Sunday.
