Jose Mourinho once said while Manager of Chelsea at 2015 that he could never manage Tottenham. Four years later, he was asked about that remark at his Tottenham opening Press Conference.
Mourinho has just taken over at Tottenham yesterday, signing a three-and-a-half year deal that will last until 2023. The Portuguese Manager has already managed Manchester United and Chelsea twice in the Premier League.

However, back in 2015 in his second stint at Chelsea, The Special One was asked about the offer Tottenham and Daniel Levy made to Mourinho back in 2007 after resigning from Chelsea at the start of the 2007 season.
Asked if he was approached in 2007 by Spurs, he said: "Yes. I couldn't go. I couldn't train in England for two years."

According to Mourinho, Tottenham tried to offer Chelsea compensation to break the clause preventing him from working in England but he also said: "I would not take the job because I love Chelsea supporters too much."
So today in his opening Press Conference as the new Tottenham Manager, Mourinho got asked about the statement.
"Four Years ago when you were at Chelsea, you were asked if you'd ever come to Spurs..You said: 'Never. I love the Chelsea fans too much.' - What's changed?"
In which Mourinho retorted back quickly: "That's before I was sacked." before pulling a wide grin at the reporter.

Mourinho's first game in charge as Tottenham Manager will be against West Ham United on Saturday 23rd of November, at 12:30PM. And his first match against one of his old clubs will be against Manchester United on Wednesday 4th of December at 7:30PM.
