Jose Mourinho will take charge of his first match as Manchester United manager today, when the Red Devils play Wigan Athletic in a pre-season friendly.
Mourinho is without the likes of David De Gea, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Chris Smalling, Anthony Martial and captain Wayne Rooney, who have all been given time off following their exploits at Euro 2016. These absences have caused Mourinho to name a rather youthful looking squad, with Luke Shaw making his first appearance since breaking his leg during a Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven, 10 months ago.

New signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are in line to make their debuts for the club, having arrived this Summer. It also appears that, even though Mourinho has named Daley Blind as a midfielder, the Dutchman will still be playing at centre-half, alongside Bailly, for today's match, at least, having spent last season in the position.
